Punjab Flood Tragedy: Condolence and Appeal by Dr. Anthony Raju

 

The devastating floods in Punjab have caused extensive loss of lives and large-scale destruction. This tragedy has not only displaced countless families but has also deeply affected farmers, workers, cattle rearers, and common citizens.

 

Dr. Anthony Raju, Advocate Supreme Court of India and Chairman of the Indian National Human Rights Protection Council, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and stated—

 

> “I pray to the Almighty to give strength and courage to all those affected by this crisis. I strongly appeal to both the Central and State Governments to accelerate and strengthen relief and rescue operations. Given the scale of devastation, it is imperative that the Government works in mission mode to provide timely and effective relief.”

 

 

 

He further emphasized the urgent need for immediate financial aid, rehabilitation measures, and livelihood restoration for farmers, workers, cattle rearers, and all affected citizens.
